Part of watching out for souls is protecting the congregation from false doctrine as well as providing teaching that is profitable to their spiritual growth.

Our elders are the overseers for our congregation. Each man is qualified according to the requirements found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. They care deeply for the members of the Church of Christ at Airport Loop and are devoted to leading the congregation according to the word of God. The position of an elder is one of God given authority and one of utmost reverence. Elders are to watch over the individual souls of the local congregation (1 Peter 5:2).
